The 1.3 Update of the Readit App With Lots of Improvements and Greater Performance
New Update of the Readit App with Improved Performance
The Readit app for Windows Phone devices has been known to users for quite some time. There was an 1.2 update which was released in late November. It was a hefty one. Now there is yet another update, the 1.3. It continues the trend of bringing out new versions with loads of changes. The app is not an official one. Perhaps that is due to issues related to its length. But users can get the change log from Reddit.
There is a long list of improvements and optimizations coming with the 1.3 update of the Readit app. First of all, there are great battery improvements. Optimizations are offered for devices with low memory. With the new update users can now pin their areas of interest, or subreddits, as live tiles, unpinning or pinning their subreddits. Pinning subreddits can be done as cycle tiles, cycling through nine images, or as flip tiles which show recent posts on the back. The Live Tile application has been changed into an icon, with a white number indicator displayed next to the icon like messaging. Uploading opportunities are now expanded. Users can upload albums or single images when they post their new posts.
Users can achieve a lot with the new Readit app update. They can collapse comments by simply double tapping. When they view their posts, they can mark and unmark their posts as NSFW, by using the moderation item within the appbar. They can also sticky or unsticky their posts, again from the moderation item within the appbar.
There are a lot more opportunities brought by the new Readit app update. Users registered at the Reddit social news and entertainment site now more easily submit their posts. Read posts now remain cached for seven days instead of the previously offered two days of caching. There are also marked improvements in the general performance ensured by the app which can be downloaded from here.
