Xolo releases new smartphones in India – Xolo Q800 X-Edition and A500S IPS
The Indian based smartphone manufacturer Xolo has quietly launched two new Android models. Though there was no official press-statement to announce them, both Xolo Q800 X-Edition and Xolo A500S IPS are now up for sale online. Based on the information from the online retailer Flipkart, we can now reveal a bit more for the new headsets.
In fact, Flipkart’s listings explain in details the specifications and price levels of the phones, so probably an official statement from Xolo wouldn’t add much. However, the first model dubbed Xolo Q800 X-Edition has a 4.5- inch display with a 960 x 540 pixel resolution or a 245ppi pixel density. Priced at Rs 12000, the Q800 X-Edition is powered by a quad-core processor ticking over at 1.2 GHz supported by 1 GB of RAM. There is just 4 GB of internal storage, expandable via micro SD up to 32 GB and a 2100 mAh battery. The graphic processor is PowerVR SGX544. The Xolo Q800 X-Edition is a dual-SIM phone with an 8 MP camera with LED flash and autofocus at the rear and a 1 MP camera in front. It runs Android Jelly Bean.
The other new model, Xolo A500S IPS, is a low-budget smartphone priced at RS 7099. It has a 4-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, a dual-core 1.3 GHz processor with 512 MB of RAM. The internal storage is again 4 GB with micro SD slot included. At the back, there’s a 5 MP camera with LED and autofocus, while the front camera is VGA. The battery has a capacity of 1400 mAh and the phone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
