The Mobile World Congress is one of the biggest annual events in the digit world. Samsung
Samsung is one of the biggest manufacturers that are attending the MWC 2014. The company sent out invitations for its special event Unpacked scheduled for 24th of February. The invitations make the hint that Samsung is getting ready to present its high-end new flagship the Samsung Galaxy S5. Many of us expected that the Korean manufacturer will organize a special event for the debut of the new advanced smartphone. However it seems that Samsung will not wait any longer and will present its new flagship in just few days from now. The leaked information and rumors about Galaxy S5 suggest that it will feature a 5.25-inch screen with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels. It will be powered by a processor with 64-bit architecture. The model will provide innovative features such as iris scanning. The main camera of the Galaxy S5 is expected to be equipped with a 16MP shooter on the back.
Samsung will certainly present its newly announced models, such as the lower-end phablet Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo. Rumors say that Samsung will release Samsung Galaxy S5 mini and Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom soon after the debut of the flagship. Will the company unveil more about the new models at the event? Thanks to LG Netherlands the LG G2 Mini was presented with the full sheet of the specs. It is unlikely to see the successor of LG G2 revealed so soon in the year. There is a chance though that the company will unveil some more information about the upcoming LG G3. The newly announced devices will certainly be presented at the MWC in Barcelona.
Nokia
Nokia is attending the MWC 2014 and has something very special to announce at the event. The rumored smartphone Nokia X (known also as Nokia Normandy) by the company that runs on Android OS is expected to debut at the event. The entry-level handset works with Snapdragon CPU with 512MB RAM. It will run on Android 4.4 KitKat (forked). The primary camera of the phone is with 5MP.
The Nokia X is one of the most interesting smartphones in the mobile world. It is the first device by Nokia that runs on the Google’s platform. Even though the phone will not have an access to Google Play Store, it will provide abundance of opportunities for its users to work with loads of Android applications.

HTC
HTC is participating in MWC 2014. It is already clear that the Taiwanese manufacturer will not present the next flagship at the event. The All New HTC One is scheduled for announcement on 25th of March in London and New York. The new model that we might see in a few days in Barcelona is the mid-range phablet HTC Desire 8. It boasts a 5.5-inch Super LCD 2 display with a resolution of 720p. The Desire 8 works with a quad-core CPU with Snapdragon 400 with 1.6GHz power and 1.5GB RAM. The phablet boasts 8GB internal memory. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. The camera of the handset is with 13MP.
Sony
Sony has had busy first weeks of the new year. The manufacturer announced its new model Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. The other new models that were recently introduced are Sony Xperia E1 and Sony Xperia T2 Ultra. The rumors from the last weeks make the hint that the Japanese manufacturer will present the Sony Xperia Z2 (known as “Sirius”) at MWC event. It is the next generation advanced smartphones by the company with Snapdragon 800 chip and 3GB RAM, 20.1MP camera, Android 4.4 KitKat and 3700mAh battery.
Another anticipated device is the Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 aka Castor. It is a 10.1-inch tablet with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The model runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. It is equipped with 8MP camera, Snapdragon 800 and comes in 3G and LTE variants.
The company is planning to launch Windows Phone-powered devices in 2014, but perhaps it is still too early for those models to be introduced at this event.
Archos arrives at MWC to present the newly announced budget smartphones Archos 64 Xenon, Archos 50c Oxygen, Archos 40b Titanium and the tablet Archos 80 Helium 4G.
